For or against the new Kingsford Stadium?
New Aberdeen stadium
What's everyone's thoughts on the new stadium at Kingsford?
For me I'm definitely for a new stadium but not convinced by Kingsford. It's just a bit too much out of the way.
Pittodrie has had it's day though, and even building a new one there isn't ideal. Traffic is murder after a game.

The chat is that Aberdeen have been offered land at the beach by the council, but have turned it down as they are committed to Kingsford.
Plan would be the driving range being moved, and Aberdeen getting that land plus the cricket pitch next to the ice rink.

It's 6 miles from the city centre, on the bypass, and on the existing dualler, and walking distance of the park & ride. Great location.BalmedieRed wrote:What's everyone's thoughts on the new stadium at Kingsford?

KL is a private enterprise, golf course makes money, can't see one moving and the other being shortened dramatically for the club's benefit.BalmedieRed wrote:The chat is that Aberdeen have been offered land at the beach by the council, but have turned it down as they are committed to Kingsford.

It does seem a bit far fetched, but then so did Westhill at first.
It does appear the council had originally been very pro-Kingsford but from what I'm hearing are now having slight doubts.
